Sperry Credit Union was founded in 1936, when a small group of Sperry Gyroscope Corporation employees banded together to obtain high quality, low cost financial services for their families.
Today, we are established as a community-based financial institution continuing to add new members, products and technologies to strengthen the foundation and success of the credit union.
About Jim Duffett, President and CEO at Sperry Credit Union:
Jim’s family history on Long Island dates back to the 1800’s… so there’s no wonder why he wants to continue to Keep It On Long Island. Jim’s father worked for Pan Am for many years while the family lived in East Northport. Today, Jim and his family reside in Seaford.
“Long Island has everything a family could want,” Jim continues, “There’s always something to do.”
Jim took a summer job at a credit union in 1995 and has been in the business ever since!
