Long Island Pure Water & Air Makes A Generous Donation

Mineola, New York –  June 2010 — Long Island Pure Water and Air, Inc., (LIPWA) a water filtration and air purification company, has donated 500 stainless steel water bottles to the students and staff of the Manorhaven Elementary School  in Port Washington, New York.  LIPWA is owned by Port Washington residents, Cindy Lyman and Sandy Grayson, who have two children in Manorhaven.  The donation was made as part of the Manorhaven Nutrition Committee program, ‘Rethink the Drink’, designed to get the kids focused on choosing water for lunch and snack rather than juices and other sugary beverages.  Ms. Lyman and Mr. Grayson and Manorhaven Nutrition co-chairs, Stacey Satovsky and Julie Kramer handed out the bottles to the kids to culminate two days of presentations to the students about the benefits of making healthy choices for food and drinks.

Manorhaven Elementary School Principal, Ms. Bonni Cohen, commented, “Manorhaven School is extremely grateful for this very generous donation.  From an educational perspective, we will be able to teach children not only about the benefits of drinking water instead of sugar- filled drinks, but also continue to teach our children about “going green” by using stainless steel water bottles instead of plastic water bottles to cut down on waste.”
